People instinctively gather around firepit or stove to warm themselves up. Irori is authentic Japanese style of fire pit inside a house.
Irori is usually set up on the floor with plenty of ash thickly layered underneath fire woods or charcoal. In front of Irori, we do a lot of things. We talk, don’t talk, warm some soup and cook.
We built up several types of Irori in our guest house. Please feel free to sit down, relax and reach your hands or legs upon the fire and warm yourself up.
